About AMY
Amy is a food and drink writer and editor living in Philadelphia. With a knack for uncovering the beauty in all things delicious, she takes to the streets of the City of Brotherly Love to discover its stories and relay them to you on a silver platter.
With a decade of publishing experience in print and online publications for outlets like Philly Beer Scene, Philly Beer Week, Edible Philly, The Spirit News, The Town Dish, Main Line Today magazine, Southwest Airlines, OpenTable, BlackBook, Philadelphia City Paper and Drink Philly, among others, she's hungry, she's eager and she loves to have her cake (and eat it, too).
She’s published two non-fiction food books: ‘Pennsylvania Scrapple: A Delectable History’ (2017) and ‘Lost Restaurants of Philadelphia’ (2022).
Beyond food and drink journalism, Amy's experienced with building brands through innovative, creative advertising and content marketing and partners. She’s worked with: Campbell Soup Company, V8 Juice, Swanson Broth, Wawa, Victory Brewing Co., Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Garces Group, and many more.
Now, let's get personal. She's obsessed with her PA Dutch heritage, slices of funfetti cake and not giving up hope for the 76ers. She owns Herman’s Coffee with her husband, Mat Falco. Follow her on-going culinary pursuits on Instagram at @amystrauss.
